Land Rover Freelander Owner Reviews
10/ 10

charlieb

I purchased my freelander 2 auto in October 2007 at 4 months old with 4500 miles on the clock. To date it has been a superb vehicle and currently has 37000 miles on the clock. The front tyres were replaced at 26000 mls and I recently replaced the rears when the snow was around at 36000mls. The main dealer servicing can be a costly item but i have been able to negotiate a price for both my previous visits to Guy Salmon in Sheffield. Fuel consumption local driving is around 26mpg.An extended drive returns 34 mpg. I suppose given the auto box and near 2 tonne weight this is a decent consumption figure. The ride, roadholding and comfort are very good as is the quietness on trunk roads and motorways. I have recently been considering fitting a chip to the engine to increase both fuel economy and performance and this is still under investigation. Regards, Charlieb
