Interesting car, a bit different to the run of the mill. I have a Pro_ceed3 1600 CRDI which is smooth and torquee with acceptable fuel economy (around 48mpg).
Prior to the Ceed I owned a Hyundai i30 deisel with the same engine and transmission, no problems fine car, BUT the Kia just seems a bit more responsive, smoother and handles just a bit better probabably due to the larger 17inch wheels.
Would I buy another you bet!

I have had my Proceed XR7 for two and a half years 27,000 miles Very reliable so far - only one fault - wiper failure fixed under warranty. Very good package - good value, 43 mpg (petrol) suspension is a bit harsh, gearchange can be notchy other wise good to drive, although three quarter visibility can be tricky. Servicing a bit pricy. Last car was a Toyota Corrolla - this is better. Styling very good.

Pro-ceed 2.0crdi - April 2008 model. I liked the looks, leather interior and warranty. Car had done 44k and purchased from Kia MK ( great service from them, would recommend). First impressions of car: Solidly built (but plastic hatch door), great handling, economical, low road tax, tremendous torque in 2nd and 3rd gear, well balanced and fun to drive, feels like my old Audi with the same key and electric switch gear (didn't the designer used to woork on the A3 for Audi?)
Some cons: noisy over 60 mph, road and wind noise; and seats are not the most comfortable on long journeys (200 miles+). Fine i
On shorter journeys. My clutch or something in the powertrain judders in 2nd when driven hard, KIA say if it's the clutch it's likely not covered and would cost me approximately £850 Inc VAT to replace.
Other than that, it's a great drive, looks good and returns 40mpg in mixed driving conditions. I tend to be quite heavy with my right foot and still get these returns. I like it and would recommend it to anyone considering buying one. I also like the fact that it is a bit different and you don't see that many on the road yet, unlike Focus, Golf, Civic etc which are everywhere.
