you are right about the ammount of room in this car its a bigger interior than anything iv ever owned before, put five seven footers it and you would still have plenty of legroom .so when i go away why does no one in the family want to borrow it,because it eats petrol like it was still £1 a gallon no matter how careful you drive it.i dont know if its because it only has 4 forward gears or not, apart from that its a nice car for the money.what you save on the cost of buying one you can use it to pay for your petrol.

In March 2007 I bought a new Kia Magentis and for the first two years or so I found it a very pleasant car to own and drive, it having many good features. However last year at about 13,000 miles it developed an apparent engine fault which was diagnosed by the local agent as a failed diagnostic centre, and after a second attempt as a failed emission control valve. These repairs were carried out under guarantee.
Recently, three months out of warranty but having only clocked 22,000 miles it developed an horrendous noise in the engine compartment which turned out to be a failed Air Conditioning Compressor. I took to the nearest authorised agent who repaired it at a cost of £900.00.
I wrote to Kia requesting that, in view of the low mileage, although out of warranty they might like to consider footing at least part of the bill. I am sorry to say their response was patronising and completely unhelpful and they appeared to have no interest whatsoever in what could have been a very serious fault, since it could have resulted in complete engine failure, had the drive belt snapped.
Though I still like the car in so many ways and it does have a very comprehensive specification for the price, I find its reliability and the lack of sympathy and concern of Kia's Customer Service Dept. very worrying. I am afraid that I cannot recommend this car as I would so much have like to have done.

I took a gamble and bought a kia magentis not knowing anything about kia,s.The price and the interior leg and room space and the boot space was bigger than any other saloon car that I had driven or seen.It isn,t the best looking car iv,e ever seen but I have grown to love it.Brilliant for motorway driving and ok around town.It is easy to drive and feels quite luxurious apart from the plasticie finish.Had 594 miles on it and cost me 6 grand, half the price of any other used car with a lot more miles.Cant fault the Magentis everything still works and have done 15000+miles in 12 weeks.Bargain.
