Glen, UK
On the positive side first - the car looks like and Audi which is no bad thing and there is some quality in places, but styling is consrevative. The engines cannot be beaten for performance and economy. Fixed servicing and depreciation means ownership costs will ultimately be low.
Now the not so good:
The height of the seat belts is fixed, the carpets are thin nylon, the parcel shelf is very cheap and flimsy. The brochure does not make it clear that only with media pack do the doors get trimmed in cloth. Add this pack and you pay for items already on the sport spec! The ride is fine on the sport, better with dynamic. The rear seats are simply uncomfortable. The range is limited by Audi policy, there should be an S-tronic SE available by now. Options packaged means that choice is limited and set to boost Audi profits rather than let buyers make real choices.
You cannot get a sunroof with the sport S-tronic. Audi say for weight saving which is implausible.
This is a car of compromises and not of the sort one would expect from Audi. If the Honda Jazz had more power, it would beat the A1.
